The American Museum of Natural History was founded on April 6, 1869 and it is the largest of its kind in the world. It is known for its huge amount of scientific collections and exhibits which beautifully showcase the whole planet and all of the cultures it encompasses. The museum’s mission is to uncover and spread information regarding natural history, the universe itself, and human culture by educating people and conducting meaningful scientific research. The museum includes many types of exhibits that can satisfy all interests ranging from a wide array of taxidermic variations of animals, a multitude of artifacts from many civilizations across the world, an impressive collection of dinosaur fossils etc. Roughly 5 million visitors visit the museum annually with a substantial percentage of them being tourists from different states and foreign countries because of the major history the museum offers. To walk through the whole museum it approximately takes 4-5 hours. Some of the exhibits that can be found within the museum is the T-Rex, Blue Whale, African Elephants and the Hayden Planetarium. All of the exhibits have information in different languages such us Spanish, Chinese, German and French due to the visitation of various tourists to the museum. This is a place for all ages.
